Artist/designer and researcher from Barcelona who uses image production, object hacking and performance as her main research and production tools. Her work methodology focuses on the deconstruction of codes, images and gestures that create certain imaginaries and their respective symbologies; placing special emphasis on the aesthetic appropriation and political instrumentalization of the themes she investigates. With an academic background in industrial design, Elsa Casanova graduated from the GEO–Design Master of Arts and Design at Design Academy Eindhoven (NL, 2022) and holds the Capitalism Analisis and Transformational Policies Postgraduate Diploma from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (SP, 2019).

Her work has been presented and/or exhibited in Matadero (SP, 2024), TBA21 (SP, 2024), La Panera Centre for Art (CAT, 2024), Sala d’Art Jove (CAT, 2024), Frappant Gallery (GE, 2024), CentroCentro (SP, 2024), ACVic Centre for Contemporary Art (CAT, 2022), Dutch Design Week (NL, 2022), Milano Design Film Festival (IT, 2021), MAAT Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology of Lisbon (PT, 2021), etc.
